Should what you post on facebook be grounds

 for getting in jail?

   Juaymae Colaway

Short answer, yes.

There are some cases that people mostly thought that they can express and post everything they want. The fact that our freedom has always a limit, people on the internet forgot to apply this on their online life. Posting on Facebook might lead you to jail especially if you violate the netiquette.

Posting, or commenting something that directly promotes criminal activities, may caused you to be imprisoned or even be fired on your work. Like posting messages that threatens or provokes a person, company, group or government, degrading other people, and culture, gender, physical educational, political backgrounds, racism, and other. Participating, buying, or selling illegal drugs. Using Facebook as a medium for prostitution, kidnapping, car-napping. Posting violent themes, sexual themes, cursing directed to someone.

We all know and greatly use our freedom of

expression but there is always a limit. Using

freedom of speech to something illegal,

committing crime will not excuse you. Also

we also have so called "Netiquette" these are

rules when using the internet.

You should know how to avoid trouble with using internet. Beware and know the culture of the country you are living. If you are feeling extreme anger, distance to using Facebook or other social media. Avoid posting something crazy. This is also to avoid being blocked by Facebook. Be sure that what you post is your original content. If you are copying someone's picture, ideas, videos, creation be sure to let them know and include a credits when you post.Secure your account, change passwords regularly, to avoid being hacked! Block people who annoys you, so that you won't see each other on Facebook. Provide permanent information about yourself which is accessible to find. I'm not saying you should include all of you information, giving too much may get you to trouble. Fill out something you want to share, this is to warmly welcome your friends/viewers.

Remember that Facebook is for communication. Socializing with friends, families, other people and group of people. Our freedom is not absolute, laws are built for the rights and security of people. We should not harass the constitution, rather we should abide it. Once the constitution is violated the sinner will be punished.
